Generative AI in Higher Education Teaching - Basics
The emergence of generative AI systems significantly impacts research and teaching at universities. In this introductory workshop, we will explore the basic functioning of these systems, enabling us to reflect on the beneficial use of AI in our teaching practices.
Our goal is to develop a basic understanding of the possibilities and limitations of AI in higher education. We encourage you to critically examine your own assumptions and ideas: What is Artificial Intelligence, and how do current and future AI systems influence higher education?
The workshop will also cover practical aspects of working with these systems. Discover which systems are available at your university and experiment with common methods to optimize output. Based on these experiences, you will identify potential applications for teaching and develop initial concepts for your teaching practice.
Note:
This workshop will be offered in German on 27.08.2025 and in English on 04.11.2025. Apart from the language, there are no differences in the events. Please only register for one date.
